BCC Leader 2020
Polish Business Leaders’ Great Gala took place on January 25, 2020 at the Grand Theatre/National Opera in Warsaw. The ceremony concluded the XXIX Polish Business Leader competition. During the official part of the gala Polish Business Leader nominations and Gold Statuettes were distributed, whereas previous winners who had retained their market status received Diamonds to go with their Statuettes. Ankol won the competition once again, and received the fourth Diamond to go with its Gold Statuette. Anna Kolisz, the company’s president, received the prize from the competition jury. The prize was awarded for consistently high economic achievements, as well as social concern evident in the company’s policies.
Moreover, Business Centre Club Special Prizes were bestowed during the ceremony. Among the recipients were professor Adam Strzembosz (in recognition of his contributions to systemic transformations in Poland in the wake of the downfall of communism, in particular in the fields of law and justice), and professor Adam Daniel Rotfeld (for his contributions to Polish politics, diplomacy and science, and in recognition of his long-standing efforts to promote Poland abroad). Some two thousand guests participated in the gala. In addition to top Polish entrepreneurs (BCC members), among the guests were government officials, parliamentarians, diplomats, cultural and scientific luminaries, clergy and famous journalists.
The attendees were entertained by a choir and a symphonic orchestra conducted by Janusz Powolny, as well as a jazz concert by Urszula Dudziak.
